Third house's image

Third House was established by a husband and wife team, Moishe and Mussie Witkes, of Palm Springs in August of 2020 in response to a notable influx of residents living on the local streets in obvious pain and confusion.

There are over 1,000 people living on the streets, under the bridges and in the washes of the desert cities in the Coachella Valley.

We cater nourishing meals and coordinate our team of volunteers who establish relationships with local residents living homeless.

Homelessness is a vicious cycle, one that's extremely hard (but not impossible) to get out of. In its darkest form those experiencing homelessness begin to wonder whether they can in fact be seen by others. That is where we come in.

Our mission is to seek out individuals living in this dark state of despair and demonstrate that they intrinsically matter. It starts with connection.

We believe everyone belongs, everyone matters and we can each take responsibility to enhance the life of another.

We will always be here to support them on their journey towards shelter, health and fulfillment.

"I have no one. No family. They are all gone. You remind me of home"
